Lets Insurance has access to insurance for all types of caravans, touring caravans up to 20 years old manufactured in the UK and abroad, folding caravans, 5th wheelers and trailer tents.

You can choice from "all risks" cover protecting the caravan, its equipment and contents against loss or damage whilst in storage, whilst being towed and whilst on site 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. The policies include the cost of recovery (at home and abroad) following an insured loss, delivery to the repairer (if not towable) and return to the home address after repair. Included is unlimited European use and a RAC recovery facility whilst touring abroad on the continent of Europe. Generous discounts are available for good storage and security features.

The 'Select' Policy:

This is a market leading insurance product

The policy provides cover on a New for Old basis for life. The caravan must however be less than five years old when the policy is first issued and the sum insured must always reflect the cost of replacement with a brand new equivalent caravan.

The 'Economy' Policy:

This policy provides cover on a market value basis and the sum insured should therefore reflect the market value of the caravan, its equipment and contents.

The policy includes a unique "agreed value" benefit which means that if the caravan is damaged "beyond economical repair" within 12 months of its purchase by you from an approved Caravan Dealer the insurance company will pay the agreed value (i.e. the purchase price) subject to the limit of the sum insured and subject to sight of the original purchase invoice from the supplying approved Caravan Dealer. This is a very valuable benefit protecting the value of your investment particularly if the caravan is subject to a Finance Agreement.

General Conditions:

• The insurer is unable to insure caravans over 20 years of age, certain foreign caravans or caravans which do not comply with UK Road Traffic Act legislation. The insurer is also unable to insure caravans which are used for anything other than holiday purposes.
  

• The policy requires that the caravan is secured with a wheel clamp whenever it is left unattended. Additional security measures may also be required particularly in respect of high value caravans although a number of discounts are available.
  Due to the increase in the number of caravan thefts in recent years the insurer requires certain minimum levels of security particularly if the caravan is not kept at the home address. Generally speaking storage facilities should benefit from flood lighting, CCTV, a checking in/out procedure and should be kept within a locked area protected by physical security deterrents such as mounding, secure fencing, ditches etc. A number of discounts are available for well protected and managed storage facilities.
  

• All premiums are subject to Insurance Premium Tax, levied by the Government. The current rate is 5%.
